What should you know about I.D.P.?


I.D.P. is a selection process. The most talented and dedicated players is selected then grouped, exposed & challenged in more sophisticated training sessions. Practices are held every other week for selected players.

  1. Only coaches, following some precise criterias, select players for I.D.P.
  2. No age limits. Talent and desire to succeed is the only limitation.
  3. Voluntary basis. If you are chosen you may choose to forfeit your participation.
  4. Numbers of participants per team are limited.
  5. Practices are every other week.
  6. International matches may be arranged players from other states and country may be selected.
  7. I.D.P. schedule will be arranged to avoid any conflicts with league games.
  8. Players will be exposed to professional coaches from outside of their club.
  9. Player may be released from I.D.P. at any time for breaching I.D.P. rules.

Main criterias used to select players:

Coaches will evaluate players & select the best of a given team.
  1. Percentage of participation at club practices, games & tournaments must be among the highest on the club.
  2. Pass fitness test.
  3. Be a hard and smart team player during practices and games.
  4. Show desire & willingness to improve skills.
  5. Above average talent.
  6. Be a team leader.
  7. Follow I.D.P. rules.
  8. Desire & motivation to succeed at the next level: high school, college and national team
  9. Pass fitness test

Criterias used to select IDP & Black Team Selection Process:

  • Talent - The ability to excel in one or more areas of the game.  Who comes to Practice?
  • Soccer IQ - to be a student of the game.
  • Leadership - the ability to lead oneself and team by word and/or deed.  Be accountable & responsible.
  • Heart - not afrtaid to fail by finding reasons to succeed.
  • Work Ethic - comes to work every day.  And that includes practices.
  • Intangibles - does the little things that count (block a shot, track down an opponent to make a tackle, cheers for teammates when on the bench).
  • Competitive spirit - loves to compete, enjoys the pressure of performing in game and practices.
  • Makes teammates better in games and practices
  • Unselfish - team success is first priority
  • Coach able - accepts constructive criticism and show improvement's.
